Romans 8:1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. New Living Translation
1. Guilt and Shame Are Not Just Emotions—They are garments designed by Satan in hopes that they will be worn by us!
Genesis 3:7 At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. New Living Translation
Genesis 3:8 When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees. New Living Translation
Genesis 3:9 Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” 10 He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.” New Living Translation
Genesis 3:11 “Who told you that you were naked?” the Lord God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?” New Living Translation
Guilt says: “I’ve failed.”
Shame says: “I am a failure.”
But you and I should repeat and believe:
Isaiah 61:10 I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels. New Living Translation
2. Condemnation Is a Spiritual Sentence That No Longer Applies to You
Romans 8:1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. New Living Translation
Condemnation is not just a feeling; it’s a death sentence of separation that was lifted at the cross.
Guess what? In Christ, you’re not guilty!
John 8:11 – Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, “Neither do I condemn you…”
He didn’t just forgive her—He removed the label that religion and sin had placed on her.
3. You Must Renounce Shame and Receive the Identity of the Redeemed
Isaiah 61:7 Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours. New Living Translation
Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. New Living Translation
Guilt and shame will lose their grip when you stop agreeing with them.
The atmosphere you create with your words becomes the reality you live in.
Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last—salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth—the one who accuses them before our God day and night. 11 And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die. New Living Translation
