The Unstoppable Power of Sowing and Reaping

God designed generosity to produce a harvest, not just in what we receive, but in who we become and the lives we impact.

The Hundredfold Harvest for Leaving People and Things to Follow Jesus

Mark 10:28 Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.” New King James Version

Mark 10:29 So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s,…” New King James Version

Mark 10:30 “…who shall not receive a hundred fold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life. New King James Version

The Pressed Down, Shaken Together, and Running Over Harvest From How We Treat Others

Luke 6:31 And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them like wise. New King James Version

Luke 6:35 “But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.” New King James Translation

Luke 6:37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” New King James Version

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom (Greek Tense: They or men will). For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” New King James Version

The Harvest of God's Favor That Enables Us to Give Even More

2 Corinthians 8:6 So we urged Titus, just as he had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part. 7 But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving. New International Version

2 Corinthians 9:8 And (according to your generosity: Verse 6) God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. New Living Translation

2 Corinthians 9:10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. New Living Translation

2 Corinthians 9:11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. New Living Translation‍
