From Spiritual Parents to Spiritual Grandparents

The greatest legacy of a leader isn't that the next generation needs them; it's that they equip the next generation to go beyond them.

Season 1: Preparation (approximately AD 35–46): After his conversion, Paul spent roughly a decade being prepared through his time in Arabia, Damascus, Tarsus, and Antioch before being launched into his primary missionary assignment (Acts 9:19–30; Galatians 1:15–24; Acts 11:25–26).

Season 2: Pioneer & Builder (approximately AD 46–60): Paul spent the next 14 years traveling extensively, preaching the gospel, planting and strengthening churches, and developing leaders throughout the Roman world (Acts 13:1–3; 14:21–23; Romans 15:19–20).

Season 3: Mentor & Multiplier (approximately AD 60–67): As imprisonment and changing circumstances restricted Paul's mobility, his ministry didn't end—it changed expression. He wrote letters, strengthened churches, mentored leaders, and increasingly entrusted the work to people like Timothy and Titus (Philippians 1:12–14; 1 Timothy 1:3; Titus 1:5; 2 Timothy 2:2).

Aging Changes How We Serve: It Doesn’t Change Our Ability to Bear Fruit
