We Can Win Because Jesus Already Won

 

Exodus 17:4 So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “What am I to do with this people? A little more and they will stone me!” New American Standard Bible  

 

Exodus 17:5 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Pass before the people and take with you some of the elders of Israel; and take in your hand your staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. New American Standard Bible 

 

Exodus 17:6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, so that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. New American Standard Bible

Numbers 21:8 The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived. New International Version  

 

John 3:14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” New International Version  

 

1 John 5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus isthe Son of God. New International Version

Exodus 17:8 Then Amalek came and fought against Israel at Rephidim. So Moses said to Joshua, “Choose men for us and go out, fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will station myself on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.” New American Standard Bible

Exodus 17:12 And Moses’ hands were heavy. So they took a stone and put it under him, and he saton it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other. So his hands were steady until the sun set. 13 And Joshua defeated Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. New American Standard Bible  

 

Exodus 17:15 And Moses built an altar and named it The LORD is My Banner16 and he said, “Because the Lord has sworn, the Lord will have war against Amalek from generation to generation.” New American Standard Bible
