Lesson 2: Kingdom Culture

November 28 & 29, 2020

When we realize we belong to a Kingdom before we belong to a country… it changes EVERYTHING

Colossians 3:10 You are living a brand new kind of life that is continually learning more and more of what is right, and trying constantly to be more and more like Christ who created this new life within you. Living Bible

Colossians 3:11 In this new life one’s nationality or race or education or social position is unimportant; such things mean nothing. Whether a person has Christ is what matters, and he is equally available to all. Living Bible

Kingdom Culture is DEFINED by a King

Jesus set a Culture of Sexual Purity inside and out

Matthew 5:27 “You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. New Living Translation

Jesus set a Can Do Culture

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. New King James Version

Kingdom Culture is set by the LAWS of a kingdom

Our Kingdom Has One Law, LOVE

John 13:34 So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” New Living Translation

Kingdom Love, Loves Everyone

Matthew 5:43 “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. 44 But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! 45 In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven… New Living Translation

Kingdom Culture must be ADAPTED to not negotiated

Luke 14:25 A large crowd was following Jesus. He turned around and said to them, New Living Translation

Luke 14:27 And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. New Living Translation
