Have you ever experienced an overwhelming feeling that is so intense, you question whether you can make it another day? If you haven't yet, please tell us your secret. Reality is, every single one of us have at some point in our life. And most of us, if we are being really honest, are currently having to deal with this:
"My parents constantly fight. I'm worried they'll get divorced."
"I don't want to go to school. Ever. I never know what people will do or say to me."
"I fear that my family will find out about my secret addiction to pornography."
"I really love my boyfriend/girlfriend. I hope they don't break up with me."
"I self-harm and I'm worried people will see my scars."
"What will my teammates think of me if I told them I go to church?"
These don't even scratch the surface on some of the things we have to deal with day in and day out. So, let us ask you .... What is something you are worried about right now? What keeps you up at night? Truth is ...
Trust is always easier said than done. But when we truly put our trust in God, we don't have to allow worry to consume our lives.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hears and minds in Christ Jesus."
– Philippians 4:6
This verse from the Bible says it all. If we want to have peace ... If we want to not worry anymore ... we need to turn to God. We need to pray. Tell Him everything you are going through. Not only that, thank God. Thank Him that you don't have to live in fear. Because when you do this, you'll experience peace. And when you have peace, you enjoy life a whole lot more.
