Sound the Alarm

Home fires claim seven lives every day, but you can help change that. Join BC Boardman and the American Red Cross during a local Sound the Alarm event. No prior experience is necessary; Red Cross provides all the training you'll need. This event will be held rain or shine on Saturday, April 18th from 10am-12pm.

We will meet at the Boardman Campus at 9:45am to receive instructions and then split into pairs of 2-3 people to install smoke alarms in people's homes that have requested and rescheduled this service in Boardman and surrounding areas. Red Cross will train and provide the supplies, the tools and the smoke alarms. Each group will require one person to mount 1-2 smoke alarms in designated locations while the other person reviews the fire safety plan with the homeowner.
